Day	Destination	Description
Day 1	Tripoli	Welcome to Libya - After clearing immigration and customs you will be met, assisted and transferred by scenic route to your hotel. After checking into your hotel, visit this historic city which was founded by the Phoenicians in 100 B.C. and was later conquered by the Romans. You will tour the old city including the souk, the Islamic quarters and the arch or Marcus Aurelius. Overnight Overnight at Bab Al Bahr Hotel Or Similar
Day 2	Yefrin	Morning visit to the excellent national museum of Tripoli. Departure to view the extensive ruins of the Roman site of Sabrata. First settled by the Phoenicians as a trading post, it was transformed in a city by Romans and built during the 1 st. and 2 nd centuries AD. The site offers a majestic collection of public and private buildings, the forum, the temples of Liber Pater, Serapis, Isis, Hercules. Sabratha has severa public baths, temples fountains and mosaics. The most outstanding monument at Sabrata is the beautifully restored theatre. After lunch, continue to Yefrin, a small town in the Nafussa Mountains. Day 3	Ghadames	After a morning tour of Yefrin, continue to Ghadames, the jewel of the desert. En-route stop at Gaser Al-Haje and Nalut to view the Granaries. Nalut offers an insight into the traditional living styles of the locals - the prevalent way of life before oil was discovered and Libyans used the oil wealth to provide resources to for concrete structures that replace the caves seen at Nalut. Lunch is at an oasis in the open desert. After a tour of Nalut, we head further south towards the arid Saharan Desert. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Dinner Overnight at Waha Hotel Or Similar
Day 4	Ghadames	This oasis was settled from prehistoric times and was a major port of call for traders and pilgrims en route to Mecca. Ghadames is a beautiful sleepy desert town that has preserved its original culture. The preserved culture is most visible the architecture with its labyrinthine passages, mud bricked and gaily decorated streets. Our tour will cover both the old ghost town and the mysterious desert. In the evening we will witness the spectacular desert sunset.. Lunch will be in a traditional Ghadames house in the old town. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Dinner Overnight at Waha Hotel Or Similar
Day 5	Tripoli	After an interesting experience in the Sahara, we proceed to Kabaw village with the old houses mostly in shambles, and all of the inhabitants living in rather anonymous structures. We will visit the ghurfas, the grain store built by the local Berbers, and located at the very summit of the village. This is followed by a visit to Tormisa to see the incredible, and intact, cave structures. From here we visit the pottery market at Gharian before returning to Tripoli. Day 6	Tripoli	The highlight of any journey to Libya is visiting the renowned World Heritage Site of Leptis Magna located east of Tripoli. From a Berber settlement it became an important community when it was established as a city by the Canaanites and reached its climax under the rule of Roman Emperor Septimus Severus. We will visit the vast site including the Triumphal Arch, huge Basilica, Forum, Public Baths, Hippodrome, the Amphitheater, the temple of Rome and Augustus, the Arch of Trajan the Arch of Tiberius and the market. Return to Tripoli in the early evening. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast, Dinner Overnight at Bab Al Bahr Hotel Or Similar
Day 7	Tripoli	Morning tour of the old medina, the markets and museum. Afternoon at leisure before onward flight or extended tour. Meal(s) Included: Breakfast
